How to Receive Your Free Permanent Flamingo License Through the NPA

  1. Use the link below to register with NPA
  2. Attend a live SciPhD training session (offered every 2 weeks)
  3. Upon attending live training session you will receive your license

IMPORTANT: You must have an NPA account with login credentials to sign up for your free Flamingo license.  If you already have an account you can use the link at the bottom of this page to register.  If you are an affiliate member (i.e. your institution is a member of NPA) but don’t yet have your own login credentials, you must use this link to request your free affiliate membership with the NPA.  Fill out their webform, and they will then process your request for your free affiliate membership to become active.  This can take 7-10 days.  Once you get your approval,  you can then register for Flamingo with the link below.

note: The NPA will forward registrants to SciPhD at the end of each month.  SciPhD will then register you for the program and will send you a link to attend any of our online training sessions that are offered twice each month.  Once you complete a training session, you will receive your permanent Flamingo license.

Q: Why do I have to attend a live session to get my license?

A:  SciPhD has been successfully training PhDs to land their first job for over 10 years.  In fact, most of our PhD graduate students and postdocs land an interview in their first three tries.

There are two reasons for this success:

    1. Our successful SciPhD alums all report the importance of demonstrating their Three Identities (technical, business, and social) in landing their first job
    2. SciPhD’s extensive network provides a path to get your Flamingo-generated resume directly to the company, and often to the hiring manager

The one-hour live webinar is designed to provide you with the essential knowledge to take maximum advantage of Flamingo.  This also makes you eligible for SciPhD’s extensive LinkedIn Discussion Group with over 2400 SciPhD alums, many of whom have jobs in the professional world, and can provide insight, advice, and connections.  You also become eligible for SciPhD’s free talent placement services in which companies (many of whom have SciPhD alums as employees) reach out to SciPhD to identify specific talent.  Through Flamingo, SciPhD can identify you as a candidate, and contact you to see if you would be interested in that job.  If so, SciPhD will work with you at no cost, to assist you in applying for the job, and navigating the interview process.
